  • I am moving to New Zealand, can easy exchange help?

    Yes. We have been have been transferring funds for people emigrating to New Zealand from the UK for years and believe we could save you a worthwhile sum of money compared to dealing with your bank
  • I forgot my password and clicked on the 'Forgotten your password' link on the website, but your site only sent me a link but no password. What do I do now?

    The link you receive is just to ensure the e-mail address is correct. Click on that link and the system will then generate a new password for you and send it to your registered e-mail address.

  • When I login to my account the Passport Requirements page appears but I have already posted in my documents.

    If we have both a valid passport copy and bank statement on file for you, you can just tick the box at the bottom of the page and 'Proceed'. This will take away the Passport Requirement page. If you have not sent in either your passport copy or bank statement please do so as soon as possible.
  • I bank with an internet bank that does not issue paper statements and the online statements do not have my address details on them.

    Just print off an online statement with your account details on it and have that certified. You will also then need to send in a utility bill (certified if it is a copy) as proof of address.
  • Will I get notified when the funds have been transferred?

    You will receive an e-mail when we receive your funds into the easyexchange bank account and will receive another e-mail confirming the deposit of your funds into your beneficiary account

  • Can I transfer funds from a South African, Australian or New Zealand Bank Account to a UK Bank Account?

  • If I am not registered with online or phone banking can I go into a branch of my bank and transfer the money over to Easy Excange using the Easy exchange bank details?

    Easyexchange does not accept deposits in any way other than phone or internet banking.

    Easyexchange does not accept deposits in any way other than phone or internet banking. All cash deposits will be rejected and the cost to Easy Exchange of receiving those deposits will be passed on to the client.

  • How do I cancel a transfer request that I have made? I have not payed the money into the easy exchange account yet because I want to change the beneficiary first.

    What you will need to do first is set up a new beneficiary account with the new details (You can also delete the existing beneficiary account set up if it will be no use in the future). Secondly delete the old transfer request from the \'transfer money\' region. Thirdly make a new transfer request as normal.



  • What are your bank details?

    You will find the appropriate bank details after you have completed a transfer request.
  • Who do I ask my bank to transfer funds to, Easy Exchange or the beneficiary?

    Ask you bank to transfer the funds into the Easy exchange bank account given to you on completion of your transfer form.

  • How can I find out if the funds have been transfered to my account?

    You will receive an e-mail when we have deposited your funds into your beneficiary account. The easiest way is to check your beneficiary bank account via online banking to see if the funds have cleared into your account or contact them by any other means.
  • Can I send cash to a beneficiary?

    No. Easy exchange does not offer money transfers in cash.
  • What if I give you the wrong account number?

    If the wrong account number is given the chances are that your funds will bounce back when we try to make delivery. In the rare event that the account number matches that of another, the funds will be deposited there and Easy exchange will not be able to retrieve them. Make sure you carefully check all your details before submitting them to Easy exchange.

  • If I am not happy with the exchange rate you decide to transfer at, do I have the opportunity to cancel?

    The exchange rate will be determined at the time Easy exchange receives your funds and would have involved a foreign exchange deal that we are committed to. Because of this you will not be able to cancel the transfer. We always try to give fair exchange rates but if you feel that this has not been the case then please contact us and we will make enquiries.
  • Can I deposit money and have a withdrawal guarantee?

    If your funds have not yet cleared into our account and have not been acted upon we will be happy to return your funds. A administrative fee will be applied which would depend on where the funds are being returned to.
  • Is my money transfer guaranteed to arrive in my beneficiary account?

    Given that all your beneficiary account details are correct and all other terms and conditions have been met, Easy exchange guarantees your funds will arrive at your chosen beneficiary account.

  • How much does it cost to transfer money?

    The maximum cost varies according to currency and country. It includes receiving bank costs except in South Africa or in some cases where we have t use a SWIFT payment. The minimum transfer accepted is 50 pounds.
  • Do I have to be a business to use this service?

    No.
  • When creating a beneficary account what address do I put in?

    Put in the address of the Beneficiary bank.

  • What foreign currency exchange rates does Easy Exchange transfer money in?

    Easy Exchange currently transfers money in the following currencies but not limited to.EURO, Forint, Canadian dollar, South African Rand, New Zealand dollar and the Australian dollar.
  • Can I transfer monies to my own accounts from the UK to Australia?

    Yes, you can transfer funds to whichever account you want to and can have as many beneficiaries as you want to.
  • Can the Beneficiary receive the payment by cheque/cash/bank deposit? How does it work?

    Easy Exchange deals in bank to bank transfers only so your funds will be paid directly into your beneficiaries bank account.

  • How can i be sure that my money is safe?

    Easy Exchange does not deal in cash and does not accept payment through credit cards. By keeping your funds in the banking system at all times they can be traced at any time either by us or by your bank. We are also regulated and monitored by the FCA
  • .How do you determine your exchange rates?

    The exchange rates are based on current market rates at the time and change all day according to market movements.
  • How do I cancel a transaction?

    As long as we have not yet received your funds you can cancel a transaction by simply clicking on the \'delete\' button next to the transfer you want to delete.

    There is no limit on the amount of transfers you can make.
  • To what address do I send my certified passport copy to?

    You need to post the document to the following address:

    Easy Exchange Ltd, Office 5306, PO Box 6945, London W1A 6US. Make sure you include your membership i.d on the copy.





  • Does the money ever arrive in the foreign beneficiary before the normal 5 day waiting period?

    Your transfer takes a maximum of 5 business days to complete but it could be done sooner.

  • Is it possible to transfer money to Namibia as Namibia uses the same currency as South Africa

    We are able to send funds to some African countries as long as the currency remains in Rands, and Namibia is one of those countries. Please contact us for queries regarding transfers to other African countries.
  • Australian banks do not have a sort code. What do I put here?

    Australian banks have a BSB number - this is the same as a sort code so that is what you need to add in the sort code section.
  • Why dont you have a contact Telephone number on the site?

    Easy exchange relies on keeping costs as low as possible to provide a low cost service. The main vehicle used to achieve this is the internet, while the introduction of a call centre would inevitably push up the cost of money transfers.

  • How do I transfer money from my bank account to my Easy Exchange account?

    You need to use your banks internet or telephone banking services to deposit funds into the Easy Exchange bank account. We will not accept a cash or cheque deposit. Please remember to add your membership number to your deposit. We also accept debit cards for payments in the UK up to £1000.
  • I made a transfer request some time ago and the money has still not left my account. When will Easy exchange take the money from my account?

    Easy exchange has no authority to withdraw funds from your account. After you have submitted your transfer form (this is not a direct debit authorisation) you have to online or phone bank the appropriate funds to the Easy exchange bank account to complete the transfer.
  • Can I send money to a Credit card in Australia, New Zealand or South Africa?

    At present Easy exchange does not do money transfers to credit card accounts.

  • How much money can I transfer using Easy exchange?

    At present the minimium amount you can transfer is £50.00 and the maximum is £10,000.00. Please contact us between 9:00am to 5:00pm (GMT Time) regarding amounts over £10,000 as this is only a limit imposed for money laundering control and we can process more but we may require more information from you.
  • Where in the world does Easy exchange transfer money to?

    At present Easy exchange makes transfers to South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. For larger amounts we also offer a service to the USA, Canada and the Eurozone but you will need to contact Easy Exchange to discuss these currencies.
  • What is a beneficiary account?

    A beneficiary will be the bank account of where you want your money to be sent.

  • How do I make payment to Easy exchange the funds I need transferring?

    Use you online or phone banking facility to send Easy exchange the funds you have requested to transfer. Do not deposit cash into the Easy exchange account as we will not accept it and any charges incurred by Easy Exchange for receiving your cash will be passed on to you. IMPORTANT:Use your membership number as your reference on your payment to Easy exchange.
  • What reference should I put on my payment to Easy exchange?

    The reference number that you need to use is your membership number. This is an unique number that you will receive upon registration.
  • When can I start using this service?

    As soon as you have registered online and sent through the required documents we will activate your account.

  • How long does it take to deliver my money?

    The funds, under normal circumstances, should take a maximum of 5 business days to clear into your beneficiary account from the day after we receive your cleared funds into the Easy Exchange account.
  • What rate of exchange will I receive?

    Shortly after your funds have arrived in our client monies account you will receive an e-mail outlining the exchange rate that the transaction has taken place at. Please note that we need to have received both your funds and your transfer form before we can begin your transfer. You will receive the rate on screen when both your transfer form and funds have been received. If you have locked in your rate you will receive that rate.
  • How do I make a transfer?

    First you must register with us. After you have registered

    you must then create your receiving beneficiary account

    and lastly you need to add a new transfer to your account and follow the indicated steps.

  • Do I have to pay any beneficiary bank costs?

    The transfer fee charged by Easy exchange covers all reasonable costs incurred in sendiing the money from the U.K to the appropriate beneficiary account.This includes beneficiary/receiving bank costs so you should incur no other charges.
  • How long does it take for my funds to reach the Easy exchange bank account?

    It can vary between the same day (If conducted on a business day) to up to four days depending on the processing time of the bank which you are making payment from.
  • How come I can not change my e-mail address (user I.D) for my account?

  • Can I use a credit or debit card to make payment to Easy exchange?

    Easy exchange does accept payment by Debit card for transactions up to a value of £1000 but you can not use a credit card. 
  • Why can't I have my exact exchange rate as soon as I send my 'Transfer request' and money to Easy exchange?

    Unfortunately there are people out there that will conduct a transfer request and then not send through the appropriate funds, for whatever reason. This effectively leaves us with their transfer. Because of this, Easy exchange will only conduct the transfer after we have received cleared funds.However, there is an option to lock in the rate as long as you can get the funds to Easy Exchange within Two business days.
